The first and most important part of these network marketing tips is you need to do is find a mentor. Ideally, this is the person who sponsored you. But sometimes that person recruits you and disappears. So you’ll need to find someone else.
If you have regular meetings in your area, attend one and find yourself a mentor. If you have regular conference calls or your receive emails from upline leaders, get in touch with those people and ask them to help you find a mentor. If all else fails (and this should be a huge red flag for you before you get into a business), call the corporate offices and ask them to give you contact information for your upline leaders (above your sponsor).
The reason I said this should be a huge flag is because of these network marketing tips – if your upline is not readily and easily accessible, run the other direction! When you are first introduced to your opportunity, you should ask who will be supporting you. Don’t just take your sponsor’s name. Find out who is above them and make sure you have their contact information. Better yet, that information should be on your website. If it’s not, then you should seriously consider what you’ve gotten yourself into!

In order to be successful with these network marketing tips, you need to complete all of the training provided. It’s easy to get carried away and want to jump right in. And that’s not a bad thing. You just have to put that enthusiasm on the shelf for a little while, complete the training and then take that enthusiasm back off the shelf and get running!

Another important part of these network marketing tips is goal setting. Your goals must be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely.
Start with weekly and monthly goals. Then work on the daily goals that will get you to your weekly and monthly goals. If you find over time that your goals are unrealistic, then simply rework them.
Set your goals in terms of the number of customers you want, the number of associates and the how much you’d like to earn. And don’t forget about your long-term goals. Set time frames for them as well, along with what you specifically need to do to get there.

network marketing tipsFigure out where in your current schedule you have time to fit in your network marketing business. Set a specific block of time where you will call people. Set aside time for showing business presentations or holding parties – whatever it is your specific MLM company requires.
Before the beginning of each week, look at your calendar. Block out the time you will use to build your network marketing business.
One woman on my team uses this part of the network marketing tips extremely well. Our business is one where we get customers by default. So the more we show the plan, people will either join the business as an associate, or they will become a customer. So we have to block out time to call people to schedule appointments. We also need to block out time to show the plan (attend those appointments). Because we have corporate sponsored meetings every week, blocking out the time to show the plan is pretty easy because there are already a number of preset times laid out for us.
So this one woman on my team sets her goal of scheduling x # of appointments each week (her number changes, depending on her kids’ schedules). On Monday mornings, you cannot get this woman on the phone from 9am to 12p because she is calling people, setting appointments. Once 12p hits, she is finished making calls. Whatever number of appointments she has set by 12p on Monday afternoon is the number of times you can expect she will be showing the plan that week. Now of course, some people have to call her back and she may set other appointments, but she does not concentrate on setting appointments once 12p on Monday hits.

Success takes time. People get into the network marketing business thinking this is a get rich quick business. But that’s not the case. There are going to be slow times. You’re going to experience rejection. You will be disappointed. But you can’t let that get to you.
This is where having a mentor and/or an accountability partner (see this network marketing tips) comes in. They can help you get through the tough times and encourage you to stay positive.
Think of your negative experiences as opportunities to learn. You should be continually learning no matter what (I’ll talk about that in a moment). And your mistakes are just one more opportunity for you to grow.
When I first got involved in my network marketing business, I looked at the people who were the top money earners in the company and I got depressed. They were millionaires. They made it look so easy. They were living the dream.
It was so easy to forget that they too were in my shoes at one point. The most amazing thing about being on the calls with these people and talking to them in person was their willingness to talk continually about the struggle they experienced in the beginning. We all have set backs. Even the people at the top. I still chuckle every time I hear the #4 money earner in our company talk about the countless times he called his best friend up and told him he was going to quit.
As your business grows, you will learn how to handle the challenges and how to use them to motivate you to work harder in your business.

network marketing tipsAs a beginner, you need to learn not only how to network market, but also about your product. Once you’ve mastered them, you can’t stop the learning process. That’s when you have to put time into your own personal development. Doing so will help you continually improve putting what you’ve learned into action.
Get yourself in front of as many industry leaders as you can. Hearing different perspectives will help trigger things in you that will motivate you to the next level. Diversify your reading as well. And make sure you implement what you’ve learned!

Get Out of Your Comfort Zone!

If you are new to this industry, you’re in for a huge change. Network marketing is not like other industries. It’s about doing something different.
Think about it – you go to your job and you sit there for 8 hours and you get paid. Sure, you have to produce, but it’s not like your production is dependent on those 8 hours.
In network marketing, your production is dependent on what you put in to those 8 hours! That means you’re going to have to do something different than you’re used to doing.
Here’s something else to think about. If you think back on your career say, 10 years ago. Are things really that much different today than they were then? Sure, maybe you’re making some more money, but likely, your debts and bills have increased similarly. So are you really in a different place? I’m betting you’re not.
So do you want something to change in your life? If your answer is yes, then this network marketing tip is your key. You will have to get out of your comfort zone and do something different in order to get different results! It’s as simple as that.
And trust me. Once you do that thing a few times that is freaking you out so much, it will get easier. And as you have more success in your network marketing business, it will definitely get easier!
